The Lakeside Ladies Golf League will begin on April 26, 2011 and continue every Tuesday (weather permitting) through September 26, 2011.  Tee time will be 9:00 sharp.  Be at the course by 8:30, as this will give us plenty of time to register, draw for teams, hear all the day’s information and even say a few hellos.  Promptly at 8:45 we will head for our designated tees.  After play we will meet at Roger’s Restaurant for lunch ($4.95 plus drink) and our monthly meeting.  The cost for golfing on league day will be as follows:

          Walking 9 holes  -   $ 9.00     Riding 9 holes  -  $14.00

          Walking 18 holes - $13.00     Riding 18 holes - $21.00

 

Procedures will basically be the same as in the past:

1.     Each league day there will be a sign up sheet on the hostess table to register for the following week’s play.  If you don’t register on league day and decide to play, you will find the sign up sheet posted on the bulletin board, or you can call Lakeside Golf Course (740-984-4265) and ask them to register your name.  This is very important as Lakeside Golf Course is a public course and it will assist them in scheduling other players.  The hostesses can also better choose a game and assist the staff with tee assignments if they know how many players will be in attendance.  If you have registered to play golf and for some reason must cancel, please call the clubhouse and let them know.

2.     There will also be a hostess sign up sheet.  We need two hostesses each week to organize the day’s play.  Please sign up to hostess a play day.

3.     This is a 9-hole league.  However, all players wishing to play another nine holes are encouraged to do so.  There will be a list of 18-hole players on the bulletin board every Tuesday.  Please add your name if interested.  The Lakeside staff would appreciate the 18-hole golfers checking with a starter before beginning the second nine.

4.     Every week there is an optional Chip-In game.  Each player pays 50C and the pot is split among the players getting chip-ins.

 

This season you will notice some changes in the clubhouse.  David Combs is the new Club House manager and Rachel Valentine is the assistant manager.  You will recognize some employees from last year as well as a few new employees.  Please say hello, introduce yourself and welcome them to Lakeside.

         

Our starting date is still several weeks away, but you can get in some early playing time by meeting at the course on Tuesday mornings at 9:00.  Lakeside management has generously agreed to charge league rates for this pre-season play.

League dues are $15.00. They are payable on the first day you play in the league, however, opening day would run more smoothly if you could mail your check in advance to Treasurer, Connie Devol. Use this PDF.
